An awareness-cum-input distribution programme under the Network Project on Animal Genetic Resources (AnGR) was conducted at Acchutdaspur village, Erasama block of Jagatsinghpur district, Odisha on 18 March 2026 by Regional Station, DPR, Bhubaneswar. A total of 53 farmers (34 women and 19 men) participated in the programme. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Tapan Palai, Scientist, KVK, Jagatsinghpur. Dr. S. K. Bhanja, Principal Investigator of the Network Project, briefed the participants on the project activities, highlighting the status, conservation, and improvement of animal genetic resources in Odisha. Dr. B. K. Swain delivered a detailed lecture on feeding and feed management of ducks, cattle, sheep, and goats, including formulation and preparation using locally available feed resources. Dr. Dhirendra Kumar spoke on health management practices of native livestock. The Head and other scientists from KVK, Jagatsinghpur also graced the occasion. As part of the programme, kits containing veteriary medicines and feed supplements were distributed to the participating farmers.
