• Training Program on Genome Editing Using CRISPR Technology Organized

    A National Training Program on “A Hands-on Training on Genome Editing Using CRISPR Technology” was held at the ICAR-Directorate of Poultry Research (ICAR-DPR), Hyderabad during 10-12, March 2025. A total of 11 participants from various states took part in the program, which was specifically organized for Scheduled Caste (SC) participants under the DAPSC (SCSP) component of the ICAR-Network Project on Genome Editing Technology for improvement in livestock health and production. The training covered both theoretical and practical aspects of genome editing using CRISPR technology. Dr. S S Paul, Head of the Division of PNH&P, shared his insights on the program and encouraged participants to apply the skills they had gained in their respective fields. The training program was coordinated by the Course Directors, Dr. Jayakumar S, Senior Scientist and Dr. S P Yadav, Principal Scientist of this Directorate.
