DAPSC programme in Mancherial District (Nov 2022)

On field training cum input distribution programme at Laxmipur village, Mancherial district, Telangana on 15th November 2022 under DAPSC programme

The Directorate is implementing DAPSC programme in different villages of Kottapalle mandal of Mancherial district for the past 3 years. On 15th November 2022 a team from the Directorate visited Laxmipur village and with help from Animal Husbandry department of Telangana 32 SC families were identified for the implementation of the scheme. Brief training on rearing poultry birds under backyard farming was given to the beneficiaries. Practical tips on feeding and health care management of birds were also provided. Importance of regular consumption of animal protein especially chicken egg and meat to improve nutritional status and immunity of the people was explained to the beneficiaries. After the training, to encourage the families to adopt back yard poultry farming different inputs including 300 grown up birds, 200 kg feed, 33 feeders and drinkers were distributed to the beneficiaries. Dr. A. Kannan, Principal Scientist, Dr. M. Shanmugam, Senior Scientist and Mr. D. Pratap, ACTO, from the Directorate participated in the programme. Dr.M. Shanmugam, Senior Scientist coordinated the programme. The programme was attended by Dr. Pavan Kumar, VAS, AH Department, Telangana, elected representatives and officials of the Laxmipur panchayat.
