DAPSC Programme at Kottaplle Mandal

Birds distribution programme at Kottapalle Mandal under DAPSC programme 

  Fifty beneficiaries from Kottapalle belonging to SC community participated in the programme. The beneficiaries were briefed about the DAPSC scheme of ICAR-DPR and the contribution made by ICAR-DPR in developing new backyard chicken varieties. Importance of consuming egg and meat for improving nutritional status and immunity was also highlighted. Brief training was given to the beneficiaries for rearing birds under backyard farming. A total of 791 grown up birds, 600kg feed, 50 packets of medicine & vitamins, 50 poultry feeders and 50 drinkers and vernacular literature on poultry rearing were distributed to the beneficiaries. Dr R.Mohapatra, Principal Scientist, Dr A Kannan, Principal Scientist, Dr.S.P.Yadav, Principal Scientist and Shri D.Pratap, Asst. Chief Technical officer  from ICAR-DPR coordinated the programme. Kottapalle  Mandal revenue officer and local panchayat members were also participated in the programme. Entire programme was conducted as per the latest guidelines issued by state and central government regarding COVID-19 control.
